THE LOTTERY (my reaction)

The Lottery written by Shirley Jackson is a shocking short story. At first I thought that the story is going to be about winning something like prizes (Money, Gold or etc). But then, at first when I have finished reading it, I don't understand the story but the second time, I finally understand that it's actually about people that is chosen for the lottery is going to be sacrifice to god, so that the corn can grow more.

So, actually I'm not the only one that is shocked, other is also shocked and keep on asking like why do people do that kind of evil thing to a human being too.
